Dr. Kartman has given masterclasses internationally and domestically in locations such as the D'Albaco Conservatory of Music in Italy, the Vianden International Festival and School in Luxembourgh, The China Conservatory of Music in Beijing, the Cleveland Institute of Music, Northwestern University, and many others.

Kartman has been giving masterclasses in conservatories, universities, and music festivals for the past 20 years. Passing on the knowledge and artistry of his pedagogical forefathers like Harvey Shapiro, Zara Nelson, Bernard Greenhouse, and others is central to his mission as a Professor of Cello and Chamber Music.
